April 2007: A short visit to North Yorkshire

Back To Vacations

Katie and I went to North Yorkshire for few days in April 2007. This was my umpteenth visit there and Katie's first.

We stayed at Sproxton Hall bed and breakfast. This is where Gordon and I had stayed on our many previous visits to the area. The nearest town is Helmsley (1 mile).

After several weeks of warm sunny weather the rain came and it was raining when we set off. The weather improved as the days went by as you can see from the photo's.

Places visited on the holiday included:

The North York Moors, Hutton-le-hole, Whitby, Castle Howard, Ryedale Folk Museum, Rievaulx Abbey, & Helmsley Castle.

For a chronological resumé of our holiday follow these links: North Yorkshire April 2007 Day by Day.
