East Somerset Railway

The East Somerset Railway, at Cranmore, was not my intended destination but as I couldn't find Nunney Castle it offered a pleasant place to stop.

The ESR was also doing D-day activities with the voice of Winston Churchill over the public address system.

This is I believe a USA class locomotive - supplied to Britain during the war by the USA.

I had a pleasant little journey through the Somerset countryside.
