I went with my daughter to Somerset for a week in July 2011 to visit friends again.
I broke my journey southwards and northwards in Much Wenlock. We stayed at the Raven Inn. I will not be staying there again.
This gave me time to visit places on the way: Blists Hill Victorian Town, Stokesay Castle, The Museum of Iron, Coalport China Museum, Jackfield Tile Museum and Morton Corbett Castle .
Whilst in Somerset I visited Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon, Shaftesbury, and Old Wardour Castle.
The week I chose was generally sunny but there were some rainy times.
For a chronological resumé of my trip follow these links: Somerset June 2011 Day by Day.
