On the Wednesday afternoon I drove over to Maryport. I first ended up on the South Quay.
First I encountered the River Ellen.
Beyond the harbour walls is the Solway Firth.
Looking north-east to the New Promenade and the Sea Brows.
A brightly painted harbourside house.
More harbourside houses.
Further round to the east - part of the town.

Mud and silt.
Looking back towards the Sea Brows I saw this lovely view.
A slight variation on the previous view. What a lovely day!
