After a long drive we descended from the coach on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne having crossed the tidal causeway. The first landmark you see is Lindisfarne Castle (NT). The was my second visit to Lindisfarne and I had fond memories of the first visit. This time though there was a lot of cloud in the sky.

Looking a little to the left we see the mainland and Bamburgh Castle.

And a little further round.

Looking behind me we see our little red and white coach.

I did not expect to see a fire engine as we set out for the Priory.

We passed the Village Hall.
