After lunch it was off to Durham for dinner at the Cathedral at 5.30. Here is the building directly across Elvet Hill Road as you leave the Macaulay wing reception.

A little further along the road is this lych gate.

At the bottom of Potters Bank you can see the Cathedral.

A little way along Quarryheads Lane you come to this toll house. Through the gate and ...

... the path drops down past this cottage.

Soon you are at the river and Prebends Bridge.

The view to the north from Prebends Bridge.

Looking south there were some hardy souls messing about in boats.

A little further across the bridge is this view of the boathouses.
