Another grey day. I took the opportunity to visit Locomotion at Shildon on my way home. It's part of the National Railway Museum at the site of a major railway works that was closed in 1984. Here is the Welcome sign and the Goods Shed.

Inside the main reception building is the San Pareil of 1829.

Another view of the goods shed and the locomotion sign supported by modern overhead cable posts.

Timothy Hackworth's house - he built the Sans Pareil and established the Soho works at Shildon.

Not again! It's another netty!.
