I arranged to travel down to Norwich a day early and meet up with my friend Carole. Apart from a break at a motorway services my first stop was Castle Acre with its Priory and Castle. Here we see Stocks Green in the centre of the village.
The GateHouses of Castle Acre Priory (EH) a Cluniac foundation which lies just soth-west of the village.
The Herb Garden and the Priory Barn beyond.
Our first sight of the ruins of the Priory Church - the west front and north side.
