Sunday afternoon we traveled by coach to Ripon .
To see Ripon Cathedral . Here's is a "modernised" gargoyle on the West Front.
Three more modernised gargoyles.
Two rows of heads on the west front but no green men.
The North Transept.
Two very weathered carvings; is that on the left a green man?
Passing round the east front into the graveyard.
The East Front with an unusual circular Chapel of the Resurrection.
An unmodernised gargoyle. On the right is ...
... a strange little creature.
